91 Japanese Lawmakers Make Group Visit to Yasukuni Tuesday

A group of 91 members of Japan's House of Representatives made a visit to the World War II-related Yasukuni Shrine Tuesday, following Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's surprise visit there Sunday. Japan's A Class war criminals are enshrined at Yasukuni that has long been the center of tensions between Japan and South Koth Korea, China and other Asian countries Japan conquered before and during the war. Included in the 91-Lower House member group was Taku Yamasaki, secretary general of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party.
