A survey says the nation’s public broadcaster KBS is the most influential domestic media.
The Korea Advertisers’ Association commissioned Milward Brown Media Research to conduct a survey on ten-thousand adults nationwide in September.
The survey titled “2009 Media Research” found 44 percent of the respondents chose KBS as the most influential media company.
Another terrestrial broadcaster MBC ranked second with 29 percent and Internet portal Naver third with eleven percent followed by the broadcaster SBS and the daily Chosun Ilbo, respectively.
Among the newspapers, Chosun Ilbo has the largest subscription in the country followed by JoongAng Ilbo, Dong-A Ilbo, Maeil Business Newspaper, Kyunghyang Sinmun and Hankyoreh Sinmun.
The survey was conducted through one-to-one interviews with ten-thousand people aged between 18 and 79 years. The data has a confidence level of 95 percent with a margin of error of plus or minus point-nine-eight percent.
