The First International Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) Documentary Film Festival will open at 6 p.m. Thursday in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.
The festival will feature 61 documentaries from 33 countries around the world.
Pre-festival events were held on Wednesday, including a concert by local elementary school students and a ceremony to mark the opening of the first-ever movie theater in a DMZ village.
