A festival promoting Korean food will open in Seoul on Wednesday for a five-day run.

International celebrity chefs, including Pierre Gagnaire, will offer up their own twists on Korean food during the 2009 Amazing Korean Table.

The Korean dishes prepared by the participating chefs will be available during public tastings at ten Korean restaurants in Seoul.

The festival aims to promote Korean cuisine overseas and make it more appealing to foreigners.
