Some one hundred South Korean college students will participate in a week-long tree planting campaign in China next month to help combat yellow dust. The students attended a ceremony marking the launch of the program in Seoul on Saturday. The program was organized by the Korean-Chinese Cultural Exchange Center. An official at the center said forestry-related professors nationwide will join the students as supporters. The delegation will plant trees in wastelands in the outer parts of Xian and Beijing from May 2nd through the eighth. The organization will also donate 30 thousand U-S dollars to Beijing City to be used for planting more trees.
