A South Korean humanitarian organization is visiting North Korea for the first time since an inter-Korean naval skirmish occurred on November tenth.

The Unification Ministry said that it approved Monday the visit proposed by a private welfare organization. The visit is aimed at monitoring the distribution of aid supplies the organization has sent to North Korea for use by handicapped people.

As a result, seven officials from the organization left Beijing for Pyongyang on Tuesday.
