The Korean Federation of Environmental Movements said Saturday it will host an international symposium Monday to find ways to conserve the ecosystem in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between two Koreas. At the symposium, many domestic and foreign scholars are expected to discuss measures to preserve the DMZ's ecosystem, its unique status and importance. The participants will sign a joint declaration urging environmental cooperation on the peninsula and set some guidelines for the move.
