FIFA President Blatter will visit North Korea Monday

The Korea Football Association (KFA) said Friday....FIFA President Sepp Blatter will visit North Korea early next week. The KFA said the head of world soccer's governing body will fly to Pyongyang Monday to meet the country's sports leaders. During his two-day stay he will exchange views on the possibility of a North Korean delegation arriving for the opening game of the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals co-hosted by Korea and Japan. The visit was announced in February and the KFA said thatBlatter was working out the details of the visit with Chang Ung, a North Korean member of the International Olympic Committee. Meanwhile, the soccer association source said it could not confirm whether KFA President Chung Mong-joon will accompany Blatter to North Korea. The official said...the possibility of Chung accompanying Blatter will be decided after he arrives from Zurich Saturday.
