Gov't to Install Thermal Scanner at Border Office

The government will provide thermal scanners to a North Korean inter-Korean border office in order to block the spread of H1N1 influenza into the North.

The office is used by South Koreans going to and from the Gaeseong Industrial Complex.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul says the South will provide the thermal scanners to the North at Pyongyang's request.

The devices have been installed in the South Korean side of the Mount Dora border transit office since September.

The official says there have been no additional flu cases reported in the North since a 32-year-old South Korean Gaeseong Complex worker was confirmed to have H1N1 on November 14th.
