Prof. Kim Soon-kwon of Kyungpook National University will begin a one-week visit to North Korea from Tuesday. Prof. Kim, also known as the "corn doctor," will oversee the sowing of "super corn" seeds at 100 cooperative farms throughout North Korea, as well as meet with North Korean agricultural experts to discuss R&D efforts and this year's harvest. He will also study the country's food supply conditions.
