First Lady Lee addresses U.N. Children's Conference

First Lady Lee Hee-ho has attended the U.N. special session on Children. In a speech delivered on behalf of President Kim Dae-jung, Lee said that making a world fit for children will lead humanity into a peaceful and prosperous future. Lee also encouraged the people of the world to try their best to save children from pain and give them healthy lives. She also asked participants to support Seoul's efforts for inter-Korean peace and a successful World Cup finals. On Wednesday, she presided over a meeting which named former South Korean foreign minister and U.N. General Assembly Chairman Han Seung-soo ... chairman of the U.N. Special Session on Children.
