Bosworth to Arrive in Seoul Ahead of NK Visit

U.S. special envoy for North Korea policy Stephen Bosworth and his delegation will arrive in Seoul Sunday afternoon ahead of their visit to the North.

Bosworth and his delegates will visit the Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry Monday for a meeting with Seoul's top representative to the six-way nuclear talks top nuclear negotiator negotiations Wi Sung-lac.

The envoy will then leave for the North Korean capital of Pyongyang via a plane from the U.S. Air Force base in Ansan of South Korea's Gyeonggi Province.

He will stay in Pyongyang for three days for talks with Vice Foreign Minister Kang Sok-ju to urge the North to return to the six-party talks and to announce its commitment to denuclearization.

North Korea watchers say Pyongyang will probably attribute its nuclear development to the hostile U.S. policy toward the North and demand a bilateral peace treaty first.
