North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency says cases of H1N1 influenza have been reported in multiple regions.

The report quoted health authorities Wednesday as saying that a total of nine people were confirmed to have the new flu in Sinuiju near the border with China and in the capital of Pyongyang.

The report added that related agencies are stepping up quarantine measures to stop the spread of the flu and are in the process of drawing up treatment plans.
