IBC for World Cup coverage opens in Seoul

The International Broadcasting Center to broadcast the 2002 World Cup Games opened in Seoul Saturday. The IBC center houses broadcasters from some 80 countries from all over the world. More than 3500 broadcasting personnel will cover the games taking place in Korea and Japan and transmit them to some 200 countries. The Korean Broadcasting System, the mother company of RKI, will cover all the 64 games. It will make 24 of the 32 games which will take place in Korea for High Definition TV.
