World Cup commemorative stamp show Held at IMC

The Ministry of Information and Communication said Monday.....commemorative stamp show will offer a glimpse of the culture, sport and natural beauty of Korea to foreign visitors coming here for the FIFA World Cup. The Korean stamps will be displayed at the temporary post office at the International Media Center (IMC) in the Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX) located in southern Seoul. The special exhibition will display 288 "leaves" of Korean stamps, with each leaf consisting of 16 sheets of A4-paper-sized stamps. Ministry officials said that 80 leaves depict Korea's cultural heritage such as Buddhist culture, traditional artifacts, pottery, painting, and traditional musical instruments, while 80 highlight he nation's natural beauty. A further 128 leaves feature Korea's sports history, from national youth sports competitions, to the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the FIFA World Cup finals. The exhibition opened Friday and will run until July 2.
