S.Korea, EU Agree to Boost Cultural Exchanges

The Culture Ministry and the EU Chamber of Commerce in Korea have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation in the culture and tourism sectors.

Under the deal, the ministry plans to hold a European film festival during the G20 Summit talks in Seoul next November.

The ministry says it will also discuss joint investment in producing animated films by forming a related consultative body.

The two sides also agreed to jointly support the International e-Sports Federation, expanding business opportunities for game makers from both sides.

In line with the agreement, the EU Chamber of Commerce in Korea set up a related committee to boost bilateral cultural exchanges.
