KBS-KISA Partnership to Promote New Media

Korea Broadcasting System (KBS) and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Thursday to collaborate on promoting the new media industry.

Both sides agreed to jointly develop high-quality content that converges different media and to spread the popularity of Korean pop culture, known as the Korean Wave, around the world by actively promoting the content overseas.

In addition, they plan to step up services for the public good. To that end, they plan to establish a framework for forecasting Internet security, which will now include the field of cyber terror under the umbrella definition of disaster broadcasting, and to produce multilingual broadcasting and cultural convergence programs for multicultural families.
