A culture festival will be held at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts to boost cultural exchanges between South Korea and China.

During the four-day festival starting Friday, the two nations will introduce their traditional culture and provide information on their arts, including straw crafts from Korea and shadow plays and traditional embroidery from China.

The last day of the event Monday will feature a Taekwondo demonstration and a traditional Chinese dance performance.

The culture festival began in Beijing in 2007 to mark the 15th anniversary of bilateral ties. It is organized by the Korean Culture Service in China and the China Cultural Center in Seoul.
