NK to Accept More US Tourists This Year

North Korea has unveiled plans to allow more U.S. tourists into the communist state this year.

The Beijing-based Koryo Group, which specializes in North Korea tourism, said Thursday that it received an e-mail from the North’s state-run Korea International Travel Company saying it will accept more American tourists this year.

The e-mail, however, stopped short of providing any additional details on the matter.

The North has limited the entry of Westerners since it opened its doors to Western tourists in 1987.
