NK Proposes Talks on Resuming Tours to Mt. Geumgang

North Korea has proposed working-level talks to South Korea on resuming South Korean tours to Mt. Geumgang and Gaesong.

The North's official Korean Central News Agency said the North’s Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee made the proposal Thursday to the South Korean Unification Ministry.

The North reportedly expressed regret that tours to Mt. Geumgang and Gaesong have been halted for one-and-a-half years, and proposed the talks be held from January 26th to 27th at the Mount Geumgang resort.
