Seoul has been selected as one of the top five best design cities in the world by the British design magazine “Wallpaper.”

In its 2010 Design Awards, Wallpaper selected New York for its Judges’ Award for best city. The four runners-up were Berlin, Rotterdam, Istanbul and Seoul.

The panel of judges positively reviewed Seoul structures, such as the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, and the various design events to be held in the city this year.

The New York Times also recently ranked the 2010 World Design Capital Seoul number three in its article "The 31 Places to Go in 2010."
