'Mother' Nominated for 6 Asian Film Awards

The film "Mother" by Director Bong Joon-ho has been nominated for awards in six categories at the fourth Asian Film Awards.

A representative from the Pusan International Film Festival said Friday that the film was nominated for best picture, best director, best actress, best supporting actor and two other awards.

With six each, "Mother" and the Hong Kong blockbuster "Bodyguards and Assassins” have received the most nominations.

"Thirst" by Park Chan-wook was nominated in four categories, while Kim Sae-ron from "A Brand New Life" has been nominated for best newcomer.

The awards ceremony, organized by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, will take place on March 22nd in Hong Kong.
