N.Korea Fires More Artillery into Yellow Sea

North Korea, which fired artillery shells into the Yellow Sea on Wednesday morning, fired dozens more shells from its coastal artillery positions at 3:25 p.m.

A Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) official said the South Korean Navy responded by sending two warning messages to the North through an inter-Korean maritime hotline at around 3:35 p.m.

South Korea estimates North Korea fired 20 to 30 shots into waters approximately two-point-seven kilometers north of the Northern Limit Line (NLL). The NLL serves as the de facto inter-Korean maritime borderline in the Yellow Sea.

North Korea’s Office of General Staff said it will continue live-fire military exercises in the area.
