NK Continues Firing Artillery

North Korea is continuing to fire artillery shells into waters near the inter-Korean maritime boarder in the Yellow Sea.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said Thursday that North Korea fired artillery shells into areas near the Northern Limit Line for about ten minutes starting at 8:10 a.m.

The North fired artillery shells throughout the day on Wednesday as well.

The JCS said the firings on Wednesday and Thursday could be part of a routine North Korean military shooting drill.

Early last year, North Korea fired one-thousand rounds of artillery into waters north of Yeonpyeong Island in the Yellow Sea as part of a military exercise.
