Seoul Sends NK List of Delegates to Inter-Korean Talks

South Korea has sent North Korea a list of the delegates who will attend working-level talks scheduled to take place at the North’s border city of Gaeseong on Monday.

The South’s delegation is comprised of the head of the Unification Ministry’s inter-Korean dialogue bureau, Kim Young-tak, and two other ministry officials.

Unification Ministry spokesman Chun Hae-sung says the agenda for the meeting includes cross-border passage, communications, customs clearances for the inter-Korean Gaeseong business park and accommodations for North Korean laborers at Gaeseong.

Chun said the South will approach the talks with a calm yet stern demeanor in the best interest of inter-Korean relations, despite the North’s firing of artillery shells into the Yellow Sea near the South-North maritime border over the past two days.
