Major French media carried stories on Korean World Cup soccer team expressing marvels at the improved skills shown during the Korea-French friendly matches on Sunday. Major French newspapers including Le Figaro and Le Monde evaluated that the Korean team's performances were a total surprise to them especially compared to the confederation cup matches a year ago in which the two team competed with 5-0 defeat for Korea. Le Figaro reported in a story dispatched from Suwon, Korea that the Korean team has not shown any disturbance or sway after it fell behind a score from the start when it has allowed the opener by the French team. It said that the Korean team has demonstrated dynamic play with full of confidence throughout the game. Le Monde also said that the Korean team's skills and the overall performance have improved remarkably compared to a year ago.
