Chinese Envoy Wang Holds Talks in NK

A leading official from the Chinese Communist Party has held discussions with the North Korean ruling Workers' Party.

North Korean media said Sunday that the head of the Chinese Communist Party's international department, Wang Jiarui, has talked to a top official of the Workers' Party.

The North's Central Broadcasting Station says the international affairs department of the Workers' Party held a reception for the Chinese delegation.

The department head Kim Yong-il and his deputy Kim Song-nam attended with other Workers' Party officials.

Wang arrived in Pyongyang on a North Korean airliner Saturday for a four-day visit. He is expected to hold talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il before he leaves.
