Gov't to Send Hand Sanitizer to NK Next Week

The government will deliver 200-thousand liters of hand sanitizer to North Korea on February 22nd as part of aid projects to prevent the spread of H1N1 influenza in the North.

The amount is worth one billion won, or over 871-thousand dollars.

A Unification Ministry official in Seoul says 20 trucks will deliver the sanitizer via the Gyeongui Highway.

In December, South Korea gave the North half-a-million doses of flu treatment medication --- 400-thousand doses of Tamiflu and 100-thousand doses of Relenza.
