FIFA Chairman, Sepp Blatter expressed his satisfaction at the way the 2002 World Cup is being co-hosted by Korea and Japan. Blatter indicated in an official press release Thursday that he is very pleased with what he has seen so far, during the event. He paid tribute to Korea and Japan for successful hosting of the first match of each group. The FIFA head said that he hopes that all the remaining matches will be also perfectly organized. Blatter was supposed to go to Japan right after the opening ceremony but he stayed in Korea to watch matches between Brazil & Turkey and between Korea & Poland. He went to Japan on Wednesday to watch the match between Germany and Ireland. He will stay in Japan through the week.
