Yeoju Opens New Korean Language Schools Abroad

The Yeoju Institute of Technology in Gyeonggi Province has opened a Korean language center in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar.

It is the ninth such center the school has built overseas, including the two built in Uzbekistan and China in 2007.

The Korean language programs at the centers are open to students of all ages.

The institute says the institutes are part of the university’s efforts to promote the Korean “Hangeul” alphabet and Korean culture.

It plans to build 30 centers in total by 2014 in 12 countries, including Australia and New Zealand.
