'More Stolen Korean Relics Held at Paris Library'

More ancient texts stolen by France during its 1866 invasion of Korea have been discovered at the National Library of France.

Professor Lee Jin-myeong at Jean Moulin University Lyon 3 says a list at the library shows an additional three marble plates and a book made of jade were also stolen in 1866 apart from the 297 Joseon Dynasty royal books and royal genealogical tables.

Lee says the list titled "Korea Collection" is believed to have been written by the then royal library in Paris.
