NK Real Estate Probe Team to Include Military

North Korea has reportedly told South Korea that military officials will take part in the probe on South Korean firms holding properties in the North's Mount Geumgang district.

The North's Asia-Pacific Peace Committee sent the notice Thursday to the South's Unification Ministry and Hyundai Asan, the operator of tour programs to Mount Geumgang.

The committee reportedly said that a committee team and Cabinet and military officials will review all the real estate held by South Korean firms within the resort area during the probe.

A Seoul official says the military involvement is not unusual in that the committee, Cabinet and the military are all in charge of Geumgang tourism.
