The South Korean operator of tours to North Korea and South Korean investors of the Mount Geumgang resort are discussing a visit to the North.

Hyundai Asan Corp. said Sunday that it is seeking a visit to the North, adding many of the companies think a trip there is needed.

A Hyundai Asan source says the company will apply for a cross-border visit by Tuesday at the latest when related parties agree on the visit and the list of visitors.

The Geumgang development council, a representative group of 20 South Korean companies operating in the area, are also holding discussions with Hyundai Asan on the proposed visit.
