Korea agrees to push for CDMA and inter'l phone business together

The Ministry of Information and Communication said Monday....South and North Korea have agreed to jointly pursue CDMA (code division multiple access) and international telephone business, launching detailed working-level operations. The accord was made during a five-day visit, which kicked off last Tuesday, by a South Korean delegation, comprising Byun Jae-il, assistant minister for planning and management at the information ministry, and leading telecom business people. The delegates met in Pyongyang with senior officials from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in the first inter-Korean telecom conference.
