The KEF said Tuesday Cho Nam-hong, vice chairman of the Korea Employers Federation (KEF), was elected a council member of the International Labor Organization (ILO) for a third consecutive term at the 90th ILO general assembly in Geneva, Switzerland Monday. Cho was previously elected for the three-year term term in 1996 and 1999. He'll begin his official work in June next year. KEF officials said as Korean labor issues such as shortening working hours and establishing a labor union for public officials is drawing international attention, Cho is the right person to help the world understand Korea's labor reality.
