The National Museum of Korea was the most visited art museum in Asia last year.

According to an annual attendance survey conducted by London-based “Art Newspaper,” the National Museum of Korea was first among Asian museums and tenth worldwide in terms of visits in 2009.

The survey shows the National Museum of Korea attracted more than two-point-seven million visitors last year, while Taiwan’s National Palace Museum greeted nearly two-point-six million visitors and Japan’s Tokyo National Museum some two-point-three million.

The Louvre in France was the most visited art museum in the world, attracting eight-point-five million people.
