The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) said Wednesday South Korea and China will seek ways to exploit rare earth, a raw material for state-of-the-art materials, together. The plan came from the 6th Korea-China Industrial Cooperation Committee held in a hotel in southern Seoul Wednesday. MOCIE Minister Shin Kook-hwan and his Chinese counterpart Minister of State Economic and Trade Commission Li Rongrong co-chaired the bilateral meeting. At the meeting, Korea and China discussed ways to exploit natural resources, set up power plant joint ventures and explore the Irkutsk region for gas.
