Chief of U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) General Walter Sharp says he is confident that what caused the South Korean Navy patrol ship "Cheonan" to sink will be found. However, he said he will not rush to any conclusion.

Sharp said at a luncheon with the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea that the U.S. is dispatching top experts to the investigation. He also said the USFK is watching North Korea carefully and that the North has not shown any unusual activities.

On the U.S. handing over wartime control to Korea in 2012, he added that the scheduled transfer would be desirable.
