It's crunch time in group D, and the stakes couldn't be higher for South Korea and Portugal when they meet on Friday. Co-host South Korea tops the group with the United States with four points each to Portugal's three. A win or draw for South Korea will push it into the second round. A loss will bring on the disgrace of being the first host nation to go out in the first round. Portugal is an acclaimed European soccer power which was initially expected to shine in the World Cup, but it's scrambling to recover from an astounding defeat against the United States. It must beat South Korea or face an embarrassing exit from the tournament. Portugal is ranked fifth in the world and boasts some of Europe's top talent in its squad, including Two-thousand-one world player of the year ... Luis Figo. South Korea's coach Guus Hiddink is promising an aggressive strategy. He said Korean players will not focus on defense, but stage positive attacks. President Kim Dae-jung is expected to be the match, which will take place at Incheon World Cup Stadium some 40 kilometers west of Seoul.
