1,500-Year-Old Silver Belt Found in Full Form

A belt made of silver dating back to the era of the Three Kingdoms of Korea has been discovered at an ancient burial site in Changnyeong, South Gyeongsang Province.

The Gaya National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage said Wednesday that it found the belt and other accessories after examining a chamber that was unearthed during digging work for a project to modify a parking lot near the site of the ancient tomb.

The belt is presumed to have been made after the mid-fifth century.

The recently discovered belt was the third such belt to be found in full form.
