With the sounds of Korea's jubilant fans echoing still echoing outside the ground, coach Guus Hiddink paid tribute to his team for the way they have progressed since he took over and offered some insight into the stunning upset victory over Portugal. A thrilled Hiddink said after the match that the team was tremendous and added that it came from nothing almost six months ago and is growing with every game. Hiddink, a master tactician who has spent the majority of his managerial career with some of the biggest names in club and international football, sent his team out with all guns blazing. An approach that may have raised a few eyebrows given that Korea only need a draw to advance to the next round. Hiddink then turned his attentions to the second round clash with another European powerhouse, Italy, in Daejeon Tuesday, saying he was fully aware of the dangers the Azzuri posed his relatively inexperienced charges. He added that the Korean team, of course, has prepared for the results.
