Ministry adds special trains to Daejeon for Soccer fans.

The Ministry of Construction and Transportation said Monday it has introduced a special measure for bus and train schedules from large cities leading to Daejeon, where a World Cup match between Korea and Italy is scheduled at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The ministry said it increased the number of train and bus schedule to Daejeon from most large cities, along with the extension of operation hours of subway trains in Seoul and Busan. The ministry said the number of trains between large cities and Daejeon will be increased to 28 until 12 midnight, including 14 trains specially added to transport soccer fans between Seoul and Daejeon. The ministry also plans to make easier for cars pass through the toll gates on highways leading to the Daejeon World Cup Stadium. It will also see that proper sign boards are in place to inform motorists of highway traffic conditions. The subways in Seoul and light trains surrounding Seoul will operate until 2 a.m. Wednesday.
