NK Military Inspects S.Korean Facilities at Geumgang

North Korean military officials have started an inspection of South Korean facilities at the North’s Mount Geumgang resort.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul said Thursday that a ten-member delegation, including the policy bureau chief of the North's National Defense Commission Pak Rim-su, began their inspection of the Haegeumgang Hotel owned by Hyundai Asan on Thursday morning.

The delegation also inspected the pier at Goseong Port, a gas station and a power plant before surveying a golf course in the afternoon.

A ministry official in Seoul said the inspection will continue through Friday.

The North announced Wednesday its plans to inspect South Korean-owned real estate at Geumgang.
