Team Korea starts tuning-up against Spain

Two days ahead of the World Cup semifinal against Spain, the South Korean team has started a light training at Daejon World Cup Stadium. On Friday, the Korean team will move to the southern city of Gwangju ... the venue for a quarterfinal match with Spain. Coach Guss Hiddink said the Spaniards are at an advantage, having had an extra two days of rest. Spain played its second-round match against Ireland on Sunday. A spokesman for the Korean team said players who ran full time and those injured are resting. Park Ji-sung suffered injuries to his hamstring against Italy, while Kim Tae-young has a broken nose and Kim Nam-il is recovering from minor injuries. The quarterfinal games are set for Friday and Saturday. Brazil plays England in Shizuoka, Japan, and Germany takes on the United States in Ulsan, Korea on Friday. Turkey and Senegal will meet in Osaka, Japan on Saturday.
