The government has announced a plan to designate Tuesday a national holiday if South Korea makes it to the semifinals. Officials said they wanted to declare Saturday a holiday to mark South Korea's quarterfinal match, but did not have enough time to carry out necessary procedures. South Korea faces off Spain in Gwangju Saturday afternoon. If Korea wins the match, it will play a seminal match on Tuesday.
