The Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) is planning a commentary service by space scientists when the nation makes its second attempt to launch a space rocket on June ninth.
The institute on Friday said that if more than 100 people come together to watch the rocket launch at schools or organizations, it will send aerospace scientists there to hold lectures on space and science and to provide a commentary service during the launch.
Interested groups may apply for the service on the Naro Web site, which will announce the selected groups at the end of next month.
The "Naro-1" will be launched between 4:30 and 6:40 p.m. on June ninth. In the event the launch cannot occur on June ninth due to unexpected factors, it will be postponed sometime between June tenth and the 19th.
In August last year, South Korea failed in its first attempt to put a satellite into orbit aboad the Naro due to technical glitches.
