The South Korean forward for Perugia whose extra-time golden goal sent Italy packing from the World Cup ... might have to start looking for a new club. Several Italian newspapers said Luciano Gaucci, the owner of the Serie A club, has threatened to fire him. La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted Gaucci as saying that "Enough! That guy will never again set foot in Perugia!" Gaucci also said he is not going to pay the salary of a guy who has been the ruin of Italian soccer. Another Roman daily, Il Messaggero, quoted him as saying that "Let him go back to Korea and earn one hundred lire per month!" Ahn's header lifted South Korea to a shocking two to one victory over Italy Tuesday and delivered the three-time champions a humiliating elimination in the round of 16. Ahn has been on loan to Perugia from K-League club Busan since the start of the Two-thousand-to-Two-thousand-One season.
