U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has offered warm wishes to South Korean children on the occasion of Children's Day.

Clinton said in a statement Tuesday that on behalf of President Barack Obama and the American people, she offers warm wishes to all the boys and girls of Korea on the holiday.

She said that this is also an opportunity to reaffirm the strong commitment that the two nations share in promoting childhood health, safety and education, and in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to live up to his or her full God-given potential.
