'China, NK Agree to Seek Resumption of  Nuke Talks'

Chinese state-run media say North Korean leader Kim Jong-il agreed to joint efforts for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula at a summit with Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Xinhua News Agency said the two leaders agreed that all nations taking part in the six-party talks should demonstrate sincerity and make positive efforts for resuming the multilateral dialogue.

Kim reportedly said that North Korea remains unchanged in its vow to seek the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

According to Xinhua, Kim also said that North Korea will work with countries concerned to create an environment conducive to the resumption of the six-party talks.

Kim also reportedly expressed his appreciation for the efforts and contributions China has made for the resumption of the multilateral denuclearization talks.
