The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced Monday that it will build a World Cup memorial hall within Sangam World Cup Stadium to celebrate the successful hosting of the international soccer tournament. A city official said the city plans to start construction as soon as 2002 FIFA World Cup finals end. The city has already reserved some 1,320 square meters of space for the memorial hall on the first floor of the World Cup Stadium. The hall will exhibit a collection of related documents, photographs and sculptures as well as sporting clothes and actual "fevernova" soccer balls, used during the World Cup matches.
